Welcome
I have chosen to run for public office because I sincerely want to make a difference in the way government operates. I believe the primary responsibility for government, at all levels, is to be fiscally responsible with our tax dollars. The state government should provide services for the public health, education, and safety of its citizens without intruding into our personal affairs or levying unnecessary taxes. I also embrace the idea that, as individuals, we are each responsible for our own prosperity. We should not expect the government to provide for our basic sustenance.
I believe that one of the most fundamental responsibilities of the person elected to the office that I am seeking is to make themselves accessible to the public and be willing to listen to the concerns of his constituents. This individual will have the power to vote on bills that establish state laws, tax rates, and funding for state and local services. The person must be loyal to the people he represents and be determined to vote his conscience, without being subject to external influences. What affects your lives also affects mine.
