Biography
I’m 46 years old and a lifelong resident of Southern Nevada. In fact, I grew up within the boundaries of the district I now wish to represent. I am a graduate of Basic High School, located in Henderson, and also earned a degree in Chemistry and Geology from UNLV.
I gained real world knowledge and experience with business and finance through personal experience. For thirteen years, I owned and operated a gardening/landscaping business in Las Vegas. I tried to be active in the community by using my business as a primary sponsor when I coached little league baseball.
I have always had a deep passion for environmental issues and have been fortunate to have been employed in the environmental field for more than 14 years. For the past 16 months, I’ve been employed by the Clark County Department of Air Quality and Environmental Management. Prior to this, I spent 11 years working a Chemist, in an environmental laboratory, and 2 years as a Geophysical Technician, with primary emphasis in groundwater research. I’m an active member of the Nevada Water Environment Association (NWEA) and the Air and Waste Management Association (A&WMA).
Carrie, my wife of 11 years, is also a native of Clark County. She’s employed by the Clark Count School District, teaching in a classroom for children with severe learning disabilities. We have two daughters: Camille, 10 and Hannah, 5.
